Grades 6 - 8


Worship and Song Leader

Coordinate and lead worship and songs on Sunday and Wednesday evenings Middle School gatherings

Small Group Youth Leader

Facilitate a group of 4-8 teens of the same gender for a few hours per week on Sunday evenings

Snack Supper Volunteer

Provide snack supper for youth on Sunday evenings

Sunday School Teacher or Coordinator

Teach four consecutive Sunday morning lessons per year or coordinate teachers to do this

Rush Hour Leader

Interact with students during three out of four “Rush Hours” on Wednesday evenings

Chaperone for various events

Oversee specific tasks relating to an event or activity

Drama/Video Coordinator

Help students create skits, dramas, and videos for “Rush Hour”

Special Events Driver

Transport students to and from events

Cheerleader (spread the news)

Pray for the Middle School program and tell others about it

Student Care Coordinator

Keep abreast of students’ school activities and major events in students’ lives (surgeries, family troubles, recitals, etc.)

Technology Coordinator

Find and implement technology that would help “Rush Hour”. Requires computer skills and understanding of Power Point, databases, and other software applications

Human Resources Director

Find and coordinate effective use of parents and other MPUMC members in the Middle School ministry

Web Site Coordinator

Use the web site as a tool to reach students.  Keep the website up to date with new material every month as well as forms and brochures.


Senior High Youth

Grades 9 - 12


Crossroads Leader

Attend and assist with Sunday night programming.  Could include crowd control, serving dinner, assisting in games or skits, and making connections with students.

Small Group Youth Leader

Facilitate an in-home or at-church small group for youth

Mission Leader

Help organize and facilitate local and foreign mission trips for youth

Youth Ministry Planning Team

Assist in evaluation and planning youth ministry goals and objectives.  Assist with creative input for youth lessons and retreats.

Special Events Coordinator

Coordinate volunteers and resources for special youth events

Special Events Driver

Transport students to and from events

Snack Supper Volunteer

“Gopher” or Errand Runner

Be on call to pick up needed items or transport supplies for youth activities
