Every Member in Ministry

Every member at MPUMC is encouraged to find his or her own specialty in ministry. This is done by helping you to discover your God-given passions and personal style.

Vibrant Worship

Worship is the central act of following Jesus Christ. Two styles of worship are offered at MPUMC:

• Traditional Worship at 8:30 and 11:00 a.m. in the Sanctuary
• Contemporary Worship at 11:00 a.m. in the Family Life Center
• WOW (Worship Our Way for Children) at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel

Sunday School

There is a place for you in Sunday School at MPUMC with varied adult classes and children’s classes for every age and grade level. Sunday School classes start at 9:45 AM. Wednesday Night Dinners (Sept-May)

The best food value anywhere in Atlanta! Henry Allen is the head cook - he leads an all-volunteer staff in preparing our meals every Wednesday. Adults-$5.00 Child-$3.00, Family-$15.00 . Children’s Ministries

From Sunday School to Preschool to Vacation Bible School to Junior Fellowship to Nursery to Children’s Church to Camp Glisson, there is a place for children at MPUMC. Middle School and Senior Youth Ministries

Recreational Opportunities

Softball Teams, T-Ball, Basketball Leagues, Church family fellowship, Open Gym Times, and Exercise times.

Support in Trying Times

The Connect Groups led by our Lay Pastors, provide a listening ear while the Meals in a Minute ministry delivers meals to those in need. We also provide periodic support and nurture groups to help with grief, parenting issues, etc. For more information please contact Rev. Small Groups

The UMW & UMM

Our United Methodist Women (UMW) is made up of seven circles that meet monthly for social time with programs and mission planning. Our United Methodist Men (UMM) are a fun-loving group that meets monthly for Sunday Breakfast where a featured speaker and plans are established for mission outreach.

Missions

Strong mission involvement at MPUMC emanates from excellent member leadership. Our mission efforts reach from Estonia to Honduras to Kenya and back to Atlanta and the Lilburn-Stone Mountain area. We are committed to following Jesus Christ by providing practical help and words of witness wherever we serve. Mission opportunities to serve are always available.

Senior Adult Ministries

MPUMC loves it’s Seniors! Join us for lunches, literary club, game day, trips, mission projects, Bible studies, fellowship and laughter. You are invited to SAS's (Seniors Are Special) monthly catered lunches and Prime Time Singles special events and outings.
